This sun hat used to be a wool sweater! Through upcycling, Jawoll Baby saves the valuable material wool.
The composition of the upcycling material is 40% cashmere, 30% wool and 30% silk.
For the perfect fit, measure your child's head circumference and choose the appropriate size.
The wool material is pleasantly light and feels rather cool.
There is only one layer on the head so that enough air can circulate. The brim is made of 2 layers that protect sensitive skin from the sun's rays. The brim can be worn in different ways.

Size chart:
39-41 cm - approx. 3 to 6 months
42-45 cm - approx. 6 to 9 months
46-49 cm - approx. 9 to 18 months
50-54 cm - approx. 18 months to 4 years

Since the wool is stretchy, the hat can also be worn for longer.

Of the natural textiles, wool has the highest sun protection of up to 50 SPF.

Wool is a wonderful natural material: it regulates temperature, is breathable, dirt-repellent and odor-resistant. These are all properties that make wool an ideal material for baby and children's clothing.
However, breeding sheep for wool production is harmful to the climate and involves animal suffering.
A sustainable alternative is the use of existing resources: Jawoll Baby gives damaged wool sweaters a new life and makes the valuable resource wool usable again.
The orange thread from Jawoll Baby: Wool is biodegradable - polyester yarn is not. When the textile's usage cycle is over, you can see at a glance through the orange seams where you can separate the thread and wool and thus enable recycling. Only separated materials can be recycled in household waste.
For any small holes that may appear during use, I will include a piece of the original fabric with your order. This way you can repair your favorite piece and use it for a long time.
