That’s how I came to Jawoll Baby

"When my daughter was born, I wanted to dress her as sustainably as possible. Since the most sustainable resource is existing materials, I sewed her pants from discarded wool sweaters."

The idea of starting an upcycling company quickly grew out of this – I always wanted to be self-employed.
At the same time, I got in touch with the textile port of the Berlin City Mission , where I get most of the damaged wool sweaters from.
So, over the course of several months, I wrote the business plan, refined the products, built up a presence on social media and inspired children in my family and circle of friends to wear clothes made from rescued wool.
In March 2021 I founded Jawoll Baby. Thank you for joining me on this journey.
Let's save the world together.

  • Sustainable

Jawoll Baby makes discarded clothing usable again. The valuable material of damaged wool sweaters can be saved through upcycling. One wool sweater can be used to make several Jawoll Baby items and even the smallest leftovers are reused. Sourcing, design and production take place in Berlin.

  • Naturally

The natural material wool has many wonderful properties: It regulates heat perfectly so that your child feels comfortable at any temperature. Wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet. The fiber does not absorb odors or dirt. Cleaning and care are uncomplicated.

  • Gender neutral

Cuts and colors are intended for all genders. Jawoll Baby stands for an equal future for our children.
Jawoll Baby is above all one thing: child-friendly.
